Looking Back at ICFF’s Designing for Dignity

Looking back at ICFF’s Designing for Dignity conversation, where CJA Principal Sara Caples joined leaders in housing and design to explore how thoughtful design can create more equitable, meaningful, and human-centered spaces.

Sara shared examples from CJA’s work, including the Pop-Up Church in Jamaica, Queens, and the Louis Armstrong Center, highlighting how design can foster community, celebrate identity, and respond to both social and environmental needs.

From creating spaces that invite dialogue to designing buildings that uplift the spirit, Designing for Dignity reinforced the power of architecture to support the people and communities it serves.
